How it Works:
Ductless systems work just like any other HVAC system, but without the ducts — making them simple to add to any room. Instead of installing large ducts behind ceilings and walls, ductless units use small air blowers that take in warm (or cool) air and cools (or heats) it over evaporator coils. A line is run into the wall that leads to an outdoor compressor and fan unit. The indoor portion of the systems are usually installed over a door, window or towards the top of any wall. Most systems can also function as a heater, saving you money on purchasing an additional unit. Maintenance on a ductless system is relatively easy; the filters just need to be removed and cleaned periodically.
